Seedlings Academy for Young Learners is rooted in two guiding principles: Educational childcare can be done differently, and faith in Christ should be evident in one’s personal and professional life.
So, when the timing was right to move toward owning a child-care center, Terri & Doug Miller assessed industry gaps and wrestled with questions that informed both the development of Seedlings’ key accountabilities and its overall environment. From inception to almost 10 years of growth, Doug & Terri remain committed to our roots as we serve families, children, and employees.
Small Classrooms
We’re committed to small classroom sizes because they promote stronger relationships between educators and children, encourage meaningful peer connections, and create more opportunities for every child to participate and grow.
Classroom Communities
With our smaller classroom sizes, making friends becomes a big, joyful adventure! Our staff helps facilitate meaningful peer connections, through which children develop wonderful social skills, learn to collaborate, and build heartwarming friendships that make every single day at school so much brighter.
Play-Based Education
At Seedlings, growth goes beyond academics. Through play, exploration, and close relationships, children develop social resilience, creativity, curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills that serve them beyond the classroom.

Nature is the best classroom! With a calm, nurturing atmosphere and open, natural spaces rather than large play apparatus, children have the freedom to explore the world around them and grow at their own pace.

We Love to Explore Inside and Out!
As a nature-based early childhood center, we bring nature into our classrooms and spend up to 2.5 hours outdoors each day on our multiple play spaces! Our connected campus approach encourages teamwork, creativity, and exploration.
Ages 6 months - 2 years
The Nest
Our infant and toddler center provides a nurturing start led by a highly experienced team dedicated to each child’s growth.
Ages 2-4 years
The Woodlands
The Woodlands serves children ages 2–4 in four thoughtfully designed classroom communities under the care of experienced, passionate educators.
