  • What is the difference between an infant and a toddler’s time at Seedlings?

The main difference is infants are cared for in a responsive manner. Once they turn one year old, they follow the toddler daily schedule.

  • What is the difference between Preschool and PreK?

Preschool and Pre-K serve different developmental stages. Preschool is designed for children ages 3–4 and builds on early foundations in learning, social-emotional growth, and independence. Pre-K serves children ages 4–5 who will enter Kindergarten the following year, with a stronger focus on school readiness, academic skills, and social development.

  • How do I find out about my child’s day?

Seedlings uses Tadpoles as a means of communication with parents on a daily basis. Daily care routines, personal and classroom milestones, and important classroom and campus updates are all communicated through this email-based phone app. Parents are asked to download this free app upon enrollment.

  • My child sees an outside therapist; can they work with my child in the classroom at Seedlings?

Seedlings encourages therapists from the area Intermediate Units, as well as the private sector, to visit children in the classroom and provide insights to teachers. They are required to carry their clearances and follow all health and safety protocols.

  • Do you have a waitlist?

Due to our small size, enrollment is limited. Each year, we open enrollment for the fall on February 1st. By completing the contact us form on this website, we will be able to communicate current availability. Current families get top priority.

  • Do you accept child care subsidies?

We partner with CCW/CCIS and CCA for qualified families.

  • What if my child has a special diet or food allergies?

Special dietary requests, like vegetarian and vegan, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Part-time children requiring special diets will be asked to bring their own meals.

The safety of our children is a priority. For documented allergies, we work with families to understand dietary needs and, when possible, develop appropriate accommodations. EpiPens are able to be administered as needed.

Parents may supplement provided food with food from home on a case by case basis.
